A paved walkway at South Pointe Park is ideal for walking or jogging. Visit the South Pointe Park Pier as well.
And if you’re feeling hungry, there are plenty of places to eat right by the beach, from cozy cafes to convenient food trucks.
There is direct access to the beach, and we found it safe and clean, with lifeguards on duty.
Biscayne National Park
Biscayne National Park in Miami is the perfect family destination for those who love being near the water. The park spans over 172,000 acres and has stunning coral reefs and mangrove forests.
For families, the park is a no-fuss spot for canoeing, kayaking, or setting sail. It’s lovely to see the kids get a hands-on nature lesson as they navigate the gentle bay waters.
If you’re planning a visit, packing sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water is key, especially if you’re hitting the water or trails during the sunnier parts of the day.
For a special treat, visit in the cooler months when manatees are more likely to be seen – park rangers can help point you in the right direction.

The best part about Wynwood is that it’s constantly changing. Artists keep adding new art, so it’s never quite the same place twice. If you’ve been once, you’ll see something new the next time.

Each Free Family Fun Day is different, inspired by the changing seasons and the museum’s latest exhibits. This means every visit offers something new to learn and enjoy.
